Scheduled to commence on November 9, 2025, the inaugural edition of the MSL will be held at the GTG High Altitude Stadium in Tawang. The league is expected to galvanize sports enthusiasm across the western districts of the state, drawing participation from seven Assembly constituencies: Lungla, Tawang, Mogto, Dirang, Kalaktang, Thrizino–Buragaon, and Bomdila. Each constituency will be permitted to field up to two teams, ensuring broad representation and competitive diversity.
The brainchild of Tawang MLA Shri Namgey Tsering, the Monyul Super League is envisioned as a structured platform for young athletes to showcase their skills while promoting unity and healthy rivalry through sport. Speaking on the initiative, Shri Tsering emphasized the league’s role in nurturing local talent and strengthening the region’s sporting culture.
Officials from the TDSA noted that beyond talent development, the MSL is poised to catalyze infrastructure growth and create new opportunities for youth engagement in the high-altitude terrain of Monyul. The league is being hailed as a transformative step toward embedding football deeper into the social fabric of Arunachal Pradesh.
With preparations underway and anticipation building, the Monyul Super League promises to be a milestone event—one that could redefine the sporting landscape of the region for years to come.
