Kiren Rijiju Begins Official Tour of Sikkim

Pakyong:   Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs and Minority Affairs Kiren Rijiju arrived in Sikkim on April 30 for an official engagement, marking the central government’s continued emphasis on strengthening ties with the northeastern state.

Rijiju landed at Pakyong Airport, where he was received by senior members of the state administration, ministers and officials. Accompanying him on the visit was noted singer Mohit Chauhan, adding a cultural dimension to the occasion.

During his stay, the Union Minister is scheduled to hold a series of meetings with state representatives and undertake field inspections in Mangan district. The visit is aimed at reviewing ongoing development initiatives and reinforcing cooperation between the Centre and the state government.

Officials said Rijiju’s engagements will focus on assessing progress in key projects and exploring ways to accelerate growth in the region.
