Fans Throng Mannat as Shah Rukh Khan Celebrates 61st Birthday

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s 61st birthday sparked celebrations across Mumbai on Sunday, with hundreds of fans gathering outside his Bandra home, Mannat, to mark the occasion and catch a glimpse of the actor.

Supporters travelled from various parts of the country to join the annual tradition that has become synonymous with the actor’s birthday celebrations. Many fans waited for hours outside the residence, turning the area into a festive gathering marked by cheers, banners and expressions of admiration for the film star.

Visitors from several states shared their excitement at being present for the occasion, with some undertaking long journeys solely to participate in the celebrations. The gathering reflected the enduring popularity of the actor, who remains one of Indian cinema’s most influential figures.

Adding to the buzz, Mannat was illuminated with large projection displays themed around King, Shah Rukh Khan’s forthcoming film. The visual showcase featured striking imagery and promotional dialogues from the movie, drawing the attention of fans assembled outside the residence. The city’s iconic Bandra-Worli Sea Link was also lit up with special birthday tributes to the actor.

With large crowds expected throughout the day, Mumbai Police deployed additional personnel in the area to maintain order, manage traffic movement and oversee security arrangements. Authorities also carried out checks around the venue to ensure smooth crowd management.

Coinciding with the birthday celebrations, the makers of King unveiled the film’s first song, Tu Mil Jaaye. Featuring Shah Rukh Khan alongside Deepika Padukone, the track has been composed by Sachin-Jigar, written by Kumaar and voiced by singers Arijit Singh and Madhubanti Bagchi.

The song offers an early look at the film’s emotional narrative while showcasing the much-loved on-screen pairing of Khan and Padukone. Directed by Siddharth Anand and backed by Red Chillies Entertainment in association with Marflix Pictures, King is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on December 24, 2026.

As celebrations continued through the day, the scenes outside Mannat once again underlined Shah Rukh Khan’s remarkable connect with audiences, with fans from across the country gathering to honour the superstar on his special day.
