Agartala, Arunachal Pradesh – Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on February 19 emphasized the need to promote Hindi in tandem with regional languages to strengthen communication and cultural unity across the country.
Saha noted that Union Home Minister Amit Shah has chosen Agartala to host the Joint Regional Rajbhasha Sammelan, bringing together representatives from northern, eastern, and northeastern states. The event will be held at the International Indoor Exhibition Centre in Hapania, where Shah is scheduled to deliver the keynote address.
Speaking separately at an artificial intelligence summit, the Chief Minister highlighted India’s rapid progress in AI. He pointed out that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has consistently underscored the role of AI in governance and development, and stressed that Tripura has already made budgetary provisions to support AI initiatives.
Saha said artificial intelligence will increasingly be integrated into government departments in the coming years, and expressed confidence that India is poised to become a global platform for AI-driven innovation across sectors.
