Manipur – The Manipur government has scheduled special helicopter services between Imphal and Ukhrul to address urgent transportation needs and improve connectivity in the hill district.
According to an official release from the Transport Department, a special sortie will operate on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, covering the Imphal–Ukhrul–Imphal route. Two additional sorties are planned for Wednesday, February 11, 2026, on the same route. These flights will supplement the regular helicopter services already in place.
Authorities have advised passengers to travel light, with a maximum baggage allowance of seven kilograms per person. For bookings and schedule-related queries, residents have been asked to contact the Nodal Officer (Heli Service) at the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Ukhrul.
The initiative, the department noted, is aimed at ensuring seamless transport for residents and supporting tourism in the region, particularly given the current connectivity challenges in Ukhrul district.
