Arunachal CM Marks Nyokum Yullo Golden Jubilee, Announces Rs 67 Crore Development Push

Bameng, Arunachal Pradesh – Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu joined the people of Bameng constituency in celebrating the 50th year of the Nyokum Yullo festival, describing the milestone as a moment of pride and spiritual significance.

Speaking at the jubilee gathering, Khandu said prayers were offered to Nyokum Ane for peace, prosperity and unity. He underscored that the festival represents more than a cultural event, calling it a living bond between communities and nature.

The Chief Minister used the occasion to unveil a package of development projects worth Rs 67 crore for Bameng. He urged residents to see the golden jubilee as the beginning of a new chapter, stressing the need for collective effort to make the constituency stronger and self-reliant.

While Bameng marked its golden jubilee, celebrations also began in Doimukh, where the 57th edition of Nyokum Yullo opened with traditional rituals. The festival committee welcomed priest Tana Rohesor at the Nyokum Yullo Ground, followed by the ceremonial hoisting of the flag at Rono Ground.

Festival organisers appealed to the people of Doimukh, especially youth and elders, to participate in large numbers and uphold the vibrancy of the occasion.
