Arunachal Budget Charts Bold Path for Connectivity and Growth

Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh – The Arunachal Pradesh government’s Budget for 2026–27 has placed infrastructure and connectivity at the center of its development agenda, unveiling projects aimed at boosting tourism, investment, and regional growth.

A ₹90‑crore allocation has been made for an Aero‑City near the Donyi Polo Airport at Hollongi. Officials say the project will create modern facilities around the airport and spur economic activity in the area.

The government also plans a convention centre with a 100–150 room hotel at Hollongi to support tourism and business events.

Rural connectivity has been given a major push, with ₹500 crore earmarked under the Chief Minister’s State Rural Roads Development Programme to build roads in villages not covered by the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana.

To address the state’s difficult terrain, a Feasibility Fund will be set up to explore innovative transport solutions.
